Commercial Locksmith – Residential Locksmith
In my single time having to call a locksmith, it really made the difference for me in terms of my ability to maintain my sanity. I guess that I may be making this a bigger deal than necessary. However, one of the things that I have learned in the process of growing up (I can’t come up with any better term for this) is that most of the time things work out. The instance that really comes to mind is my experience locking my keys in my car when I was younger.
I was working with the mayor’s office and was supposed to be at a hotel in the Tech Center for a presentation to the delegation from Hawaii. Everything was going really smooth until I realized that the up part of the button on the locking mechanism meant that it locked all of the doors instead of unlocked all of the doors. This is a major distinction to be aware of. It really deters your progress if you lock yourself out of your car. When it happened, I acted like any rational person and calmly approached a group of firefighters. In retrospect, I have no idea why they were there and asked them to break into a window for me. Thankfully they declined to break in my window.
I then bit the bullet and called a locksmith. The locksmith was excellent and he was able to get into my car with relative ease. I was actually a little alarmed by his ability to break into my car. It was swift and did not take any time at all. It was pretty crazy actually. Nevertheless, I understand that there are a lot of residential locksmiths and in having that many I thought that the prices would be quite a bit less. However, due to the fact that many of the people calling a locksmith would be constrained by time and urgency, locksmiths, for the most part, can charge whatever they want. Of course, this is not sitting super well with me, but I was able to rebound and figure out a system that worked well for what I was trying to accomplish. I am thankful that I have not had to call a locksmith since that first time. I am more measured in how I respond to certain situations and this is obviously the case when it comes to locking myself out. I did do that one time, but instead of calling a locksmith again, I calmly took a recycling bin over to the side of the building and broke in through the screen in my bedroom. It was pretty easy and a great decision in the end because it saved me a lot of money. I would definitely do the same thing again if push came to shove. It just made sense to me.
